What's the difference between combination brows and microblading?

Microblading uses only hair-stroke technique throughout the entire brow. Combination brows blend hair strokes at the front with soft powder shading through the body and tail. The result is more fullness and definition while keeping that natural, feathered look at the start of your brows. I recommend combination brows for clients who want that 'polished but still natural' look.

Who are combination brows best for?

Combination brows work beautifully for almost everyone, but I especially recommend them for oily skin types (the powder shading holds better than microblading alone), sparse brows that need more coverage, and anyone who loves that filled-in makeup look but doesn't want to apply it daily. If you've had microblading before but wanted more fullness, this is the upgrade.

How does the powdered effect look after healing?

The powder shading heals soft and diffused—not harsh or blocky. During the first week, it looks darker and more intense (that's normal). By week 4-6, it settles into a soft, graduated effect that mimics the look of filled-in makeup. Think 'just applied brow powder' not 'solid block of color.'

Is the healing different from microblading?

The healing timeline is similar (4-6 weeks for full healing), but combination brows tend to scab slightly more in the shaded areas. The hair-stroke portions flake off in tiny pieces while the shaded areas may peel in larger patches. Both are normal. I give you detailed aftercare instructions specific to combination brows.
